Lake Anna, Virginia

This is exciting! The Coast Guard Auxiliary is now providing you with a map of Lake Anna, showing the known and/or marked hazards. The maps also show other important Lake features. The maps list the latitudes and longitudes of these hazards and features.

Flotilla 87 (Lake Anna) of the Coast Guard Auxiliary and Blue Creek Technology have teamed up to give you information you can use to navigate the waters of Lake Anna. All this is made possible by a grant from the BoatUS Foundation.

Here is how it works.

1. To get started you can click on the map above in the area you would like to explore .

2. The map allows you to zoom in and zoom out and to toggle the areas with red bulls eyes to make it easier to locate the hazards and features of the lake.

3. If you mouse over a Bulls eye or Hazard it will display the name and Lat/Long information in the navigation bar (to the right of the zoom buttons).

4. NOTE: The maps have been designed in long strips, so when you go North or South, you will not necessarily end up directly north of south of the location you left in the previous map.

5. You also have the choice to download the PDF's of the maps, so you can have a printed version or the file that was created for GPS systems with the hazards on it.
NOTE: You will need to know what type of files you are able to import for your particular GPS.

NOTE: The locations of the hazards and other features have been provided by third parties. The hazards were located and marked by the Lake Anna Advisory Committee. Neither the Coast Guard Auxiliary nor Blue Creek Technology verify these locations as accurate.
